I have joined the 21st Century! 
Greetings to all!
Allow me to introduce myself and my family. I am a follower of Jesus, wife to the best husband in the world (aka Qui-Gon Jin), and homeschooling mom (aka YODA) to 2 wonderful blessings at home (aka Padame & Luke Skywalker) and one amazing young man in college (aka Obi-Wan)!
Allow me to introduce myself and my family. I am a follower of Jesus, wife to the best husband in the world (aka Qui-Gon Jin), and homeschooling mom (aka YODA) to 2 wonderful blessings at home (aka Padame & Luke Skywalker) and one amazing young man in college (aka Obi-Wan)!
Our children have had so many exciting adventures homeschooling! We would love to share them with you. It is difficult to keep in touch with all of our friends and family from all over the world so I thought I would join the 21st century and try my hand at blogging. I can't guarantee it will be very up to date. There may be months between entries but the photos will make up for it! This is my first attempt so please be patient with me. :)
We have named our school: LifeMAPPS Institute for Excellence. The LifeMAPPS part comes from my former Life Coaching business (before homeschooling). It stands for living life with Mission, Abundance, Passion, Purpose, and Success! We strive for excellence in all we do, for the glory of God who blesses us with all the rest and so much more!
Our short Motto is "Know Better, Do Better"!
Our family life verse is from Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "Plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a Hope."
Our simple guidelines are found in Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
(We believe this means so much; but, simply put, we are to purposefully train our children in the way that God has prepared for each of them specifically, with their own unique temperments, personalities, giftings, interests, and callings. To do this, we must first help them discover what these are and introduce them to their heavenly Father who will guide them for the rest of their lives.)
We have the honor of living in a country where we are able to teach our children at home and give them limitless opportunities to learn about God, themselves, their world, their history, and their future! We take every chance to help others and contribute to the community as we train our children in servant-leadership. The journey has taken us on some amazing adventures along the way!
